what does juniper networks do

Juniper Networks, a US based company, manufactures networking hardware such as routers and switches. The company has been doing business for over two decades now. The networking hardware manufactured by Juniper is widely used by organizations for Internet infrastructure.

Juniper Networks is also a competitor for Cisco Systems and many of the networking gear manufactured by Cisco is also offered by Juniper (though they use different networking operating systems). Cisco routers use IOS as network OS where as Juniper uses JUNOS as network OS.

Both offer very good certification tracks for educating the students and young professionals. Cisco certification track consists of CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE where as Juniper network track consists of JNCIA, JNCP, and JNCIE. (They basically offer Associate, Professional, and Expert levels of certifications).
